Actually, he wasn't a cab driver. He was from Columbia or something ,and was applying for a job. His name was Guy also.
The real Guy Kewney was running late for his interview and so when they found out the black guy's name was Guy, they thought it was the right guy (excuse the pun).
the pun is excused- journos across the land have been using it, it's nly natural. The shiny link is from yesterday when the story was still a bit confused ut I like their way of putting it plus the white 'Guy' has an annoyed blog post linked their.
looney lovegood's fine. Identifying with the gal isn't too disgraceful- just don't expect me to live up to it. My exam was fine alhamdulillah- just annoying that I thought it was at 2.30 instead of 2. If I'd arrived on time I could've left early, which is lovely but they don't let you go in the last 15mins and I just missed escaping that horrid waiting for exams to be over twiddly thumbs time. I would say better luck tomorrow but it's not likely since I missed all these classes, have half the handouts and am missing the textbook.. pray for a miracle ppl :) Oh and I'm heading home to welcome young BSE back into the fold and eat lovely traditional roast rather than cramming. Panicky types are so lucky.
Kate Bush's howling Cathy - um perhaps? I only watched the old laurence olivier film recently though and Wuthering Heights Cathy was more of a spoilt social climber who scorned Heathcliff to marry a rich dude, and was generally cold and destroyed her own chance of happiness. Though Heathcliff was brutal too in response- theirs was not a pretty romance. So He invokes her ghost and she carries on tormenting him- it seems more cruel and painful than ethereal.. I haven't read the book yet but still I'm fairly certain Cathy isn't much like me.

Cathy. Got to be the ghost of Kate Bush's Cathy. Loony Lovegood comes a close second though.
